Shoreline Mall plc on Wednesday announced that it has entered into a lease agreement with Bigbon Group for the lease of five retail spaces within the upcoming development.
Shoreline Mall is a new mall located in Smart City, Kalkara, that will form part of The Shoreline development. The development offers a mix of luxury accommodation, views, and community amenities, with 370 residential units spread across eight blocks, and a retail facility made up of two double-height floors. The mall will contain around 44 separate outlets, along with a food court and a number of pop-up retail spaces.
In the new development, Bigbon Group will be showcasing its Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho, and Massimo Dutti brands within the retail complex, which Shoreline Mall says will provide an “eclectic and holistic shopping experience for its customers”.
Shoreline Mall added that it anticipates these “premier brands” to contribute to its “exciting mix of retail, fashion, catering, entertainment, and leisure” that will be made available, each bringing their “own unique style and fashion” to the forefront, with the aim of making the mall the “premier shopping destination” in Malta.
Additionally, Shoreline Mall reaffirmed its “commitment” to launch its retail mall by the third quarter of 2023, and anticipates that the collaboration with Bigbon Group and other retail companies will bring this new retail space “to life and create a brand new destination”.
Bigbon Group traces its roots from the early 1950s, when entrepreneur Carmelo Gauci traded materials and fabrics as a hawker. His success prompted him to open his first retail shop in 1955 and it gradually grew to become Bigbon Group. It represents Spanish retail giant Inditex Group in Malta, and manages the aforementioned Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho, and Massimo Dutti brands.
