Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz and BE Health are partnering with Inspire to raise funds for the Maltese Foundation for Inclusion and its crucial work within the disability sector.
All guests staying at or making use of the services provided by Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz in Gozo will have the option to donate €1 per night or more as part of their final bill, while donations collected will be passed on to Inspire on a monthly basis.
“Hand in hand with the community support initiative launched by Kempinski Hotels, over at the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz, we have identified Inspire as the recipient of this initiative,” says Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz General Manager Eike Clausen.
“We are truly in awe of the work that Inspire Foundation does to secure equality and inclusion for persons with disability, and that is why we selected it as the receiver,” he continued, before adding that through these contributions, Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz hopes to continue “to sustain the big work that this organisation is delivering in Malta”.
Kempinski employs over 22,500 staff members in over 30 countries, 144 of which work at its Gozo hotel. The company believes that its sense of responsibility should be extended beyond its employees and guests into the communities in which it operates, and Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz’s initiative was started with the same spirit.
BE Health serves as Kempinski’s global Corporate Social Responsibility programme, inviting each of its hotels in each country to identify a local healthcare concern in their immediate environment and support a local organisation addressing it. The hotel raises funds through its guests and special events to help the organisation meet its objectives.
“Over at Inspire Foundation we help hundreds of individuals with various disabilities ranging from autism, cerebral palsy, and several other conditions,” Inspire Foundation CEO Antonello Gauci said.
“Our services rely very much on the benevolence of the public and local institutions that help us continue pushing through with our mission to ensure equality and inclusion of persons with disability within our communities,” he added.
Mr Gauci thanked Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz for the gesture, as well as “all future clients who opt in to support our work”.
Inspire Foundation has several years of experience in education, therapeutic, social, and recreational needs of people with disabilities, specialising in aiding those on the autism spectrum, having profound knowledge on multiple learning difficulties and those with behaviour that challenges. Its range of services and disability programmes include occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, therapeutic horseback riding, school outreach programmes, as well as others.
Located close to the idyllic Dwejra Bay in Gozo, Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz is a five-star resort that provides travellers with a number of services during their stay in Malta's sister island.
