BCRS Malta announced that it has upgraded all ten of its Jumbo reverse vending machines with Comingle Compactors.

This means that people are now able to deposit plastic bottles and aluminium beverage containers in bulk rather than one by one, speeding up the process and making it more convenient.

The upgraded Jumbo RVMs are available at ten BCRS depots across Malta and Gozo – Xewkija Industrial Park (Gozo), Bulebel Industrial Park, Ħal Far Industrial Park, Marsa Industrial Park, San Ġwann Industrial Park, Kirkop, Luxol, Mellieħa, Salina, and Ta’ Qali.

Each one is staffed by an on-site attendant to assist customers.

“We are continuously listening to public feedback and reinvesting in the scheme to make it more accessible, efficient and easier to use,” BCRS CEO Alexander Galea said.

“The installation of Comingle Compactors across all Jumbo RVM sites is another step towards improving convenience for participants, while strengthening the environmental benefits of the Beverage Container Refund Scheme for the country as a whole.”
