Artisanal craft bakery Manouche, currently based in St Julian’s, will be opening two new spots – in Valletta and Sliema respectively – later this year.
The bakery and bistro, which specialises in French baked goods, is set to open at St John’s Square in Valletta in October, and will fill a gap in the market, according to co-owner Matthew Bartolo. “Valletta doesn’t currently have many places where you can get a good breakfast, and freshly baked croissants,” he says, making it a prime location for Manouche.
Admitting that “COVID-19 hit us hard”, he says that the team is excited about opening the new spots after some expected delays.
The second location, which will open in Depiro Street, Sliema, will be the smaller of the two, and is set to open between September and October.
