Giovanni Bartolotta, APS Bank’s Chief Risk Officer, has been appointed to the Council of the Malta Association of Credit Management (MACM), for the next two years, the bank has announced.

Through his membership on the council, Mr Batolotta will work shoulder to shoulder with other leading professionals from all sectors of the Maltese economy, representing a “substantial share” of the country’s GDP.

The MACM was established in 2001 and became part of the Federation of European Credit Management Associations (FECMA) in 2003.

It is a non-profit organisation providing credit management information to its members, promoting good credit management practices and encouraging an efficient framework in the collection of payables.

The new appointee celebrated his appointment, thanking Charles Xuereb, MACM President, for the opportunity.

“I hope to provide a valuable contribution to the workings of the Council during my term, sharing my experience in credit management, developed in the financial services industry over the last 25 years, in Malta and abroad,” he added.

Aside from the aforementioned, the MACM also promotes and supports any legislative measures which foster a healthy credit environment in Malta and at EU level.
