APS Bank has welcomed on board two new members to its C-suite.
Noorul-ain Khan is the Bank's first Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Ronald Mizzi takes over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Noorul-ain Khan, a South African national, graduated in B.Com. from the University of Witwatersrand in 1997, followed by an Honours degree in Accounting from the University of Natal-Durban in 1999.
In 2001 she qualified as a CA with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and articled with Deloitte.
Her career then crossed into the automotive industry with BMW before moving into progressively senior financial services positions with Barclays, Nedbank, FirstRand, Investec Private Banking and Basileus. Ms Khan brings a wealth of international and multifarious experience to her role.
Ronald Mizzi, a Maltese national, graduated in B.Com. from the University of Malta in 2000, followed by an Honours degree in Accounting in 2002.
He obtained his warrant as CPA and Practicing Certificate in Auditing in 2005 and has a Diploma in VAT Compliance (2008). He is also a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
Ronald started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2002, with parallel engagements in Malta, the Channel Islands and New York. In 2006 he joined FIMBank plc, assuming higher responsibilities until becoming Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer.
Both appointments were approved by the Board of Directors earlier in the year and are awaiting regulatory approval by the MFSA.
APS Bank CEO Marcel Cassar commented: "We are excited to welcome Noorul-ain and Ronald who now complete our C-suite. They are both seasoned professionals with extensive expertise and international experience. Their appointments come at a time of great challenges for the banking industry which we are using as an opportunity to continue with our journey of transformation and growth. We wish them all the best in their new roles."
In June, APS announced a series of C-level and senior appointments.
