Alexia Cordina has been named Group Head of People and Culture at 9H Capital Ltd. While she made the announcement on Tuesday, her appointment came into effect in January.

9H Capital is a group of companies of companies which includes digital agency ANCHOVY Studios plc and web technology, development, and integration firm NIU Ltd, which was formed last year in a bid to become a “leading digital technology player in Malta”. 9H Capital leads, owns, and manages both companies’ local market leadership position and technology talent base, providing digital services that will support both client bases in their transformation journey.

Aside from her new role, Ms Cordina has also worked as Head of People & Culture at ANCHOVY Studios and NIU for more than a year, where she is responsible for holistically leading the two companies’ people and culture team.

She has over 15 years of human resources experience (HR) from various companies, including as HR Consultant at Alter Domus, and  HR Manager at Royce Tech. Her experience also includes a year as HR Business Partner at Raketech, and two years as HR Manager at Catena Media, among other roles.

She describes herself as “passionate about people”, since their impact and value to businesses are “fundamental”. Ms Cordina says that she is a “high believer in innovation and creativity that will bring change to the business to stay on top of the competition”.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Works and HR from University of Malta, and a Higher Diploma in HR Management from Malta Institute of Management.
