Few locals have had the honour of working for the world-leading search engine and technology company Google, which is headquartered in California but is present in major cities across the world.

On Monday, Alessandra Baldacchino announced via social media that she has reached the next milestone of her career, “that of becoming a fulltime employee at Google”.

Ms Baldacchino is based in London, where she has spent the last seven years building her career.

Six months ago, she was offered a temporary contract at one of the most influential companies in the world, Google, as a Privacy Programmes Industry Relations Manager. Now, she has been appointed as the company’s Ads Industry Relations Strategy and Operations Manager at Google’s London office under a fulltime contract.

“Grateful for all the amazing Googlers I have met and worked with so far, especially the dream team in Industry Relations. Looking forward to learning and growing more in this company.”

Ms Baldacchino received her bachelor’s degree in European Studies (Hons) at the University of Malta, and went on to sit for a Masters of Science in Public Policy at University College London.

From there, she entered into London’s workforce with various roles such as Technology, Media & Telecoms Associate with Global Counsel, Policy Manager for Data, Cloud & AI with techUK, and most recently, with Google.
