Air Malta has just announced steeply discounted fares for Ryanair passengers left high and dry after the multinational terminated its Malta-Catania winter schedule.

Ryanair has abruptly stopped operating to Sicily for the winter, with the next flights available for booking on their website being in late March.

Air Malta will therefore be stepping in to ensure continued connectivity on an essential route between the two islands.

To minimise further disruptions, Air Malta is launching a special rescue fare for any Ryanair passengers that are experiencing difficulties with their travel plans between Malta and Sicily.

“Passengers can use the special promotion code KMRESCFR20 to make their bookings on www.airmalta.com and should show their original booking with Ryanair at check-in,” Air Malta said in a statement.

Air Malta operates 5 weekly flights to Catania and will continue to operate them throughout the winter.

Terms and conditions for promo code

- Booking till the 10th of November

- Travel between tomorrow and 28 March 2021

- 50% discount on all Go Safe fares
