PwC Malta is, this week, marking the 35th anniversary since Associate Marnie Dobler joined the firm, Senior Partner David Valenzia announced on Monday.

Taking to social media, Mr Valenzia said: “Thank you Marnie for your loyalty and dedication throughout the years. You are truly part of the firm’s legacy.”

Indeed, during her time at PwC Malta and its predecessor, Ms Dobler has seen the leading professional services and consultancy firm shift dramatically.

She joined the firm as a secretary a number of years before Mr Valenzia and saw it achieve a number of defining milestones.

Particularly notably, she witnessed the merger in 1998, which brought two international firms, Coopers & Lybrand, and Price Waterhouse together as PricewaterhouseCoopers (later rebranded as PwC).

Then, the firm comprised more than 140,000 people in 149 countries, including almost 300 in Malta.

The international company now employs some 295,000 people and is active in 156 countries, with 626 in Malta.

According to the local branch's annual review for the financial year 2021, it recorded €45 million in annual revenue. It is proud of the diversity of its staff, with 57 per cent being female, and the continuous staff development it encourages, with staff embarking on an average of three weeks of learning per person annually.

Additionally, the company has donated €512,000 in cash and hours to professional bodies and philanthropic activities.
