Simon Mifsud received his law degree back in 1991, and, went on to obtain a master’s in law in 1992, when he successfully took the bar of England and Wales the same year.

Dr Mifsud, as Managing Director of S. Mifsud & Sons Ltd, is part of the third generation of family running the company, and has gained over 30 years’ experience in the shipping industry.

SMS is one of the longest established private group of companies in Malta, having its roots in the shipping business.

Over time it developed from a shipping agency to a large group of companies employing over 500 persons active in travel, tourism, shipping, insurance, logistics, ship registration and financial services, as well as general trading.
