An accountant by profession and possessing an Auditor's Practising Certificate issued in Malta, Robert Ancilleri has 15 years’ experience in the financial services sector, mainly in banking.

“Up to July 2018, I served as Chief Accounting Officer at HSBC Bank Malta plc. Prior to that, I occupied senior management positions, responsible for finance at Banif Bank (Malta) plc and Volksbank Malta Group. Before moving into banking in 2003, I worked in audit and business advisory at MSD & Co. (Arthur Andersen) and Ernst & Young,” he explains.

In 2018, Mr Ancilleri set up his own practice and, a year later, incorporated Embark (Malta) Limited, focusing on providing business advisory services both in the financial and regulatory spheres as well as accounting advice and support.

He is also serving as a Director of several listed and regulated locally registered entities, one of them with international exposure.
