Nick Xuereb is a senior finance executive with over 30 years of leadership experience across manufacturing, aviation, and regulated industries. He has built a career centred on driving strategic transformation, strengthening governance, and delivering sustainable financial performance in complex and competitive environments.

Mr Xuereb began his professional journey with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1988, where he developed a strong technical foundation in audit and advisory. He subsequently moved into industry, joining Trelleborg Malta as Financial Director, where he played a key role in the company’s transformation and positioning within the global automotive supply chain.

In 2011, Mr Xuereb joined Air Malta as Chief Financial Officer as part of a restructuring programme, contributing to a significant turnaround that materially reduced the airline’s losses and stabilised its financial position. During this period, he also served as Chairman of the Malta Gaming Authority (2008–2013), overseeing the development of one of Malta’s most strategically important industries and supporting its growth while maintaining robust regulatory standards.

Since 2014, Mr Xuereb has been Group Chief Financial Officer of Toly Group, a global leader in innovative packaging solutions for the beauty industry. As part of the executive leadership team, he has played a central role in shaping the Group’s financial strategy and governance framework, supporting its growth trajectory, including achieving a €100 million revenue milestone in 2019.
He also serves as Executive Director and sits on several boards within the Group.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mr Xuereb has contributed actively to Malta’s business community. He served on the Council of The Malta Chamber from 2015 to 2025, including roles as Vice President (2021–2023) and Deputy President (2023–2025), helping shape policy and drive initiatives aimed at enhancing Malta’s competitiveness and business environment.

Mr Xuereb is recognised for his strategic mindset, governance expertise, and ability to lead organisations through transformation, combining financial discipline with a strong focus on long-term value creation.
