I have held financial leadership positions for the past 25 years, primarily in manufacturing, but I also had the privilege of chairing the Gaming Authority during a period of significant industry growth.
I began my career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1988.
After 11 years, I joined Trelleborg Malta as Financial Director. Over the next 12.5 years, the company steered through a change process aimed at preparing for growth in a hugely competitive automotive market.
In 2011, I joined the Air Malta restructuring team as Chief Financial Officer, contributing to a project that significantly reduced the airline's losses. At the same time, between 2008 and 2013, I served as Chairman of the Gaming Authority in Malta. Together with a strong professional team, the industry that flourished while maintaining appropriate quality standards.
In 2014, I returned to the manufacturing sector as Group CFO of Toly, becoming part of a dynamic management team focused on financial thought leadership within the business, helping the company reach its €100 million revenue target in 2019. I also serve as an executive director of Toly Group and sit on several boards of the Toly companies.
At the same time, in 2015, I was elected to the council of The Malta Chamber, initially representing the manufacturing sector, and was re-elected every two years until 2025. In April 2021, I was elected Vice President of the Chamber, and in 2023, I was elected Deputy President, as part of a dynamic open minded team that aims to push Malta to become a stronger and more competitive country through an agenda that looks at the common good of Malta, from the angle of companies and employers.
In 2025, I made the decision to step down from my role at the Chamber to dedicate my focus fully to my position at Toly.
