Business Profile
My career started as an auditor with PwC in 1988. After 11 years, I joined Trelleborg Malta as their Financial Director. During this period we steered the company through a change process aimed to prepare for growth in a hugely competitive automotive market.
In 2011 I joined the Air Malta restructuring team as CFO, in a project that saw the airline significantly reduce its losses. At the same time, between 2008 and 2013 I held the position of non-Executive Chairman of the Gaming Authority in Malta, and with the strength of a professional team, ensured that the quality of the Maltese jurisdiction was enhanced.
In 2014 I rejoined the manufacturing world as Group CFO of Toly, forming part of a dynamic management team, with a focus on financial thought leadership within the business, helping the company reach its €100M target in 2019. At the same time, in 2015, I was elected to the council of The Malta Chamber, initially representing manufacturing, and I have been re-elected every two years since. In April 2021 I was elected Vice President of the Malta Chamber and was subsequently elected Deputy President in 2023, as part of a dynamic open minded team that aims to push Malta to become a stronger and more competitive country through an agenda that looks at the common good of Malta, from the angle of companies and employers.
