It was in October 2021 that Kenneth Brincat started his journey at the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) when he was appointed Chief Executive Officer.

The MDIA, an independent, proactive and trustworthy supervisory body, is Malta’s sole certification Authority for cutting-edge technologies ranging from Distribution Ledger Technology to smart contracts, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Security. It also promotes the digital innovation industry on the island.

“Enhancing the successes achieved during the initial years of the MDIA, I am spearheading the strategic direction of digital innovation in Malta. The digital sector holds a prominent position in the Maltese economy and my role is to ensure its continuous and sustainable growth by maintaining technical security in the marketplace and being creative in response to changing business models,” Mr Brincat explains.

He holds a Master of Science Degree in HR and Training and is reading for a Doctorate in Business Administration.
