The Sullivan family has been active in various sectors of the maritime industry as far back as 1888. That means, its experiences span from the height of the steam ship era to today’s top luxury liners and highly specialised vessels.

John Ellul Sullivan’s own experience is just as chequered, having been involved in a vast array of maritime services including tug operations in Malta, Italy, and in Gozo channel crossings.

He occupies the post of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sullivan Shipping Agencies Ltd, which represents some of the world’s leading ship owners and provides agency and logistic assistance.

In addition, Mr Ellul Sullivan served, among other offices held, as President of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and of the Malta Employers’ Association, a Director of Bank of Valletta plc and is a former Honorary Consul-General (Malta) for the Republic of Korea.
