Having worked for most of his career in the yachting sector, Darius Goodwin joined Ripard Larvan & Ripard Ltd in 2003 on the sales front.

“I focused on developing strong relationships with our brands and winning market share. In 2014, I took on the position of Managing Director and, today, we are concentrating on strengthening our position in the local market and developing the business according to trends in the segment,´ he explains.

The Ripard name has echoed through yacht clubs and race regattas around the world. John Ripard Snr. is a decorated veteran in the sailing world. From being an America’s Cup judge to founding the Rolex Middle Sea Race, his efforts contributed to a vibrant industry on the island.

The soul of RLR Yachting was born on the sea; the passion for sailing is a force to be reckoned with. Once the first chandlery in Malta had been set up, the yachting industry could really kick off. Today, the company is a leading supplier of equipment for boats, from Optimist and Laser sailors all the way up to the 200-metre superyachts that sail into Grand Harbour.
