Cristina Deguara, who founded MC Deguara Ltd in 2009, has been working in the construction business for the past 17 years.

During the past 10 years, she has acquired knowledge and experience "that are essential both to manage such a fast growing company as well as large projects that are increasingly being entrusted to us".

“Being a female contractor is certainly challenging due to gender stereotypes but this has actually helped in enhancing my professional growth,” Ms Deguara says.

The Mosta-based company offers building contractors, project managers and consultancy services.
