“Joining TradeMalta as Chief Executive Officer in 2015, I helped shape the trade promotion strategy which supports Malta-based businesses to internationalise and become export-ready,” Anton Buttigieg explains.

“We also pride ourselves in encouraging businesses to reach out of their comfort zone and establish new partnerships in non-traditional markets,” he adds.

Mr Buttigieg holds an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Malta and a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Marketing from the SDA Bocconi School of Management, in Milan specialising in industry analysis.

A dedicated team of professionals at TradeMalta, which was formed as a public-private partnership between the government and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, provides a wide-ranging portfolio of services that caters for different modes of entry within specific markets.
