“I have been in management roles within the fast-moving consumer goods sector, particularly food and beverage, for over 15 years,” he shares.

As the Supply Chain Manager at The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd, he is tasked with providing strategic advice and guidance to the production, warehouse and distribution teams, ensuring appropriate policies are developed to meet the company’s mission and objectives and to comply with all relevant statuary and other regulations.

“My hands-on approach is ideal when it comes to promoting good working conditions and good employee morale while facilitating and promoting good inter-departmental relationships.

“I always seek ways to improve profitability and efficiency through innovation and by challenging the status quo,” Mr Agius says.

The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd, which employs over 240 people at its manufacturing site, offices and distribution centres in both Malta and Gozo, produces a wide range of soft drinks for brands owned by The Coca‑Cola Company (TCCC) including Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta, Dr Pepper, Sprite, Schweppes and Kristal.

It is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its products and operations, with a particular focus on recycling, water stewardship energy and climate protection.
