Von der Heyden Group Finance has elected Javier Errejón Sainz de la Maza to its Board of Directors with immediate effect, it has announced.

The election was held at an Annual General Meeting of the company, in which, following the retirement of Robert Hendrik Rottinghuis and Robert C Aquilina, the Board held a new election.

Mr Aquilina was re-elected, but Mr Hendrik Rottinghuis did not submit his nomination for re-election, having served for six years on the board.

Mr Errejón currently holds the position of Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Timan Investments Holdings Limited, that acts as the guarantor of Von der Heyden.

He is also Managing Director of IBB Hotel Management Europe Limited, a subsidiary of Timan Investments.

He joined the Von der Heyden Group in September 2006 as its Chief Financial Officer and member of the management board responsible for finance.

Prior to that he occupied several senior positions, including that of head of analysis and management control of Aldeasa S.A. and controller and financial management of Grupo Ferrovial.

With a Bachelor in Law and a Master of Business Administration degree from IESE Business School, Mr Errejon is also a professor teaching finance and business valuation at various universities and business schools in Spain and other countries.

Malta Stock Exchange-listed Von der Heyden Group is a private investment and real estate firm that has completed investments in real estate markets with a value of over €500 million.

The group employs nearly 500 people and has subsidiaries and representative offices in Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Malta, Spain, Italy and Portugal and has also recorded investments in the USA.

It has established itself as a niche boutique player developing high-quality office buildings as well as owning and managing hotel, commercial and residential properties across Europe.
