VentureMax Group has named Matthew Galea Debono as Legal Counsel, joining its legal team. Additionally, Dr Galea Debono is now also Company Secretary.

Making the announcement on Monday, the group explained that his specialised knowledge in data protection, blockchain and video game law, along with his experience as an advocate and educator positions him as “a key asset” to its team.

Dr Galea Debono has a “rich background” in law, with expertise in Intellectual Property and IT Law.

He obtained a Doctor of Laws at the University of Malta and a Master of Laws in Computer and Communication Law from Queen Mary University of London.

Throughout his career, he has held several significant roles. This includes Key Official and Director at IGT Interactive Operation Malta Ltd, an Associate at Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal, Member of the Executive Board at Malta Information Technology Lawyers Association and Head of Legal at Esports Entertainment Ltd, among others.

VentureMax was established in 2016. The company aims to invest in start-ups and established businesses to achieve their potential. It initially started out by focusing on digital marketing and later expanded to strategic advisory services.
