Malta’s workforce has been undergoing a dramatic transformation over the past decade. In fact, statistics issued by national employment service JobsPlus continue to indicate that in response to shortages in the domestic labour pool, more and more businesses are relying on foreign talent to fill crucial roles across different sectors. The outcome of this shift has resulted in non-Maltese workers now constituting over a quarter of the island's total workforce.

Despite this growing demand for foreign talent in Malta, finding the right candidates to fill critical roles can be a daunting task for many businesses. Not only must these candidates possess the necessary skills, but they must also fit well within the company's culture. The process of background checks, paperwork, and immigration formalities can also be lengthy and complex.

Recognising the need for a professional service to help local businesses find the right talent, entrepreneur Mantvydas Matthew Narusevicius established WFDM Ltd. in 2020. This global recruitment, consulting, and immigration consulting company was founded with a mission to bring a new level of trust and reliability to the recruitment process for employers and job candidates alike.

The WFDM team is comprised of seasoned recruiters, who have received extensive training in both human resources and immigration law. They are passionate about helping job seekers find fulfilling careers, both in Malta and beyond. With their broad network and extensive expertise, they are able to match companies of all sizes and industries with the most suitable candidates for their needs.

"At WFDM, we're all about working with real people, not just filling quotas. Our priority is to make sure the candidates we recommend are not only great at what they do but are also the right fit for the company. That's why we do our due diligence and take the time to run thorough background checks. And, of course, we always work closely with the local authorities to make sure everything is above board. That's why more businesses are turning to us to help them find the talent they need to thrive," WFDM Founder Mr Narusevicius explained.

In just three years, WFDM has had a remarkable impact, having successfully assisted hundreds of foreign nationals from diverse countries like Dubai, India, Philippines, and much more to successfully relocate to Malta and secure jobs with prominent companies on the island, including Wolt, Uber, Palazzo Parisio, Malta Public Transport, and many others. This has been a driving force behind the growth of these businesses.

Spurred on by its success and rapid expansion in the recruitment sector, Mr Narusevicius, ever the entrepreneur, has also been inspired to assist businesses further by introducing a spectrum of additional solutions and services to tackle various industry challenges.

“I see myself as a problem solver. I invest a lot of time speaking to business owners to better understand the unique challenges they face. This has led me to launch various innovative solutions under the WFDM banner, all designed to make things simpler for businesses. Our clients rely on us for our expertise and experience in developing new technologies, developing business strategies, designing unique solutions, and providing high-quality products and services,” he added.

The company’s property management arm assists clients in locating the right rental spaces across Malta and assists with property mediation. WFDM is also on the brink of introducing DOUP in Malta in February 2023. This cutting-edge business card technology boasts four NFC products: bamboo and plastic cards, stickers, and bracelets. Through the DOUP platform, customers can upload a variety of data onto these products, such as contact details, social networking accounts, website links, and more, providing them with an innovative and attention-grabbing solution to share important business data with people.

Mr Narusevicius has also sought to diversify WFDM’s operations further by branching into the catering and automotive industries. Dhaba Indian Street is a food truck business that specialises in several Asian cuisines, including authentic Indian street food, and can be found serving regularly in Swieqi. In the near future, more food trucks are planned to be added to the fleet. While WFDM Auto Moto Works specialises in car body repairs, restorations, and modifications. The skilled team at the automotive workshop in Swieqi is capable of handling any job, big or small, from painting to upholstery and mechanical work.

With so many projects and ventures unfolding simultaneously, it’s no wonder that WFDM has been named one of the fastest-growing private companies in Malta for two years running.

“I believe that a business needs to continue to evolve and adapt to continue to be successful in today’s highly competitive market. That’s why we’re always on the lookout for exciting ventures which we feel will add value and quality to our clients. Soon, we’ll be launching a PR and digital marketing agency to help businesses convey their stories and connect with audiences in impactful ways. Keep an eye on our channels for updates on this exciting venture,” he concluded.
