On Wednesday, The Convenience Shop announced that one of its Founders, Joseph Pace will be stepping in as interim CEO.

This was announced in light of outgoing CEO Martin Agius’ departure from the company, citing personal health reasons for his resignation.

The company “thanked him for his valuable contributions” to the group during his tenure and wished him well for the future.

During his tenure at The Convenience Shop, he held a pivotal role in restructuring the company, overseeing everything from corporate governance to daily operations.

In an earlier interview with MaltaCEOs.mt, Mr Agius had remarked that walking the shop floor helps him understand the pulse and challenges of the day-to-day business.
