Ta’ Kris, one of Sliema’s most beloved restaurants known for its authentic Maltese cuisine and charming rustic décor, will soon be relocating to Gżira. The restaurant banner was seen at The Strand in Gżira.
For years, the restaurant has occupied a unique space set within one of the oldest and largest former bakeries in Sliema, offering guests not only traditional flavours but also a warm, nostalgic atmosphere.
The restaurant’s distinctive character, from its old-coloured Maltese tiles and warm-hued walls to its dark wood furnishings, created a homely setting that complemented its home-style cooking. Under the direction of Chef Proprietor Chris, Ta’ Kris has built a loyal following thanks to its hearty, homemade dishes such as the traditional bragioli, thick beef stew, haruf il-forn, amongst others.
More details about the official opening date in Gżira are yet to be released. For now, patrons can still enjoy Ta’ Kris in Sliema while awaiting to bring the taste of Malta to a new home.
