Aviation industry veteran Stephen Gauci on Monday announced that he has joined Malta-based air cargo conglomeration Challenge Group as Communications Coordinator.

His new role comes after he served as Head Public Relations (PR) and Communications at Foundation for Medical Services for five months.

Prior to that, Mr Gauci made a name for himself as an Air Malta plc stalwart, having worked within its communications department for 27 years, before bidding farewell last July. He had initially joined as Public Relations Officer, before working his way up to Head of Corporate Communications, where he led the department for various years.

Throughout his years at the airline, he worked on a number of projects, including restructuring processes, re-brandings, public relations stunts, press conferences, interviews, and other achievements.

He holds a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications and Bachelor of Communications (Hons.) in Communications and International Relations, both from University of Malta. He was also awarded a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute. Mr Gauci also has a Private Pilot Licence.

Challenge Group is an international aviation and logistical company that is headquartered in Malta. It offers tailored air freight industry solutions, ranging from handling, air and ground logistics to aviation services, for a wide range of industries and commodities.
