The trendy souvenir and gift shop known as Souvenirs That Don’t Suck is expanding out of its flagship store on Manuel Dimech Street in Sliema to new premises in the capital.  

Originally set to open its doors in May, the opening of the new shop has been postponed to July or August due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We started working on finding a new shop around April 2019, a year after moving into our Sliema shop,” says Andrew Farrugia. “We knew we wanted Valletta – we wanted to be in our World Heritage Capital, but we wanted to find the right place.”

And while he does not reveal the exact location, the co-founder of Te fit-Tazza, which recently merged with Souvenirs That Don’t Suck, explains that one of the major tasks before the team started designing the shop was understanding how both brands will interact and what kind of experience they want give clients.

“The idea is to have a ground floor Souvenirs That Don’t Suck shop, while the upstairs will be a multifunctional Te fit-Tazza creative space to help with our research and plans we have for the future,” he reveals.
