Smart Supermarket enjoys a high trust rating among the general public, according to a survey report published by Onest Data on Maltese supermarkets’ perception during the COVID-19 crisis.
Onest Data is the sister company of digital marketing gurus ANCHOVY. plc.
The report, which is based on data collected in April and on the replies of 659 respondents, shows how Smart Supermarket is the most trusted among the respondents with 47 per cent, followed by Park Towers at 42 per cent and PAVI-PAMA at 41 per cent.
The actions of these brands that make them the most trusted include that they don’t take advantage of a crisis to maximise their own profit, they take care of their employees and customers, maintain reasonable pricing and transparency, and go above and beyond the safety standards and recommendations.
Meanwhile, Lidl, PAVI-PAMA, and Smart are the top three supermarkets that people have heard of and shopped from the most in the period under review, between 8th and 12th April 2020.
Park Towers rated the best overall in terms of customers’ net opinion who thought that, alongside the same actions taken for the trust rating, this supermarket brand also communicates in a transparent and timely manner and gives back to the community, particularly in times of need.
