RS2 software PLC has announced the conclusion of a major outsourcing agreement through its subsidiary RS2 Smart Processing LTD with its business partner Alpha Fintech to provide acquiring services to the Bank of New Zealand.

The agreement, announced via a declaration under Malta Financial Services Authority listing rules, will last for an initial term of three years, with the option to extend yearly.

Through the agreement with Alpha Fintech, RS2 has also signed on two clients, “a large fintech company in Singapore” and a “financial institution in Indonesia”, for which it is currently in implementation phase.

“The Group continues its global expansion providing, acquiring and issuing processing services to payments providers and financial institutions around the globe”, it said.

This is only the latest step in the company's expansion plan.

RS2, which has its head offices in Malta and is listed on the local stock exchange, also announced this year its acquisition of KALICOM Liebers Zahlungssysteme KG, a successful commercial network operator for electronic, card-based payment systems in Germany.

At the time the company commented that this acquisition was in line with its “strategic shift from continuing to provide perpetual Licences of its platform to Managed Services, Merchant Acquiring Services and Issuing Services throughout Europe, the Middle East, North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific, resulting in international growth and expansion”.
