Reuben Abela has been named Head of Commercial at digital payment provider Andaria Financial Services at its Malta offices, he announced on Monday.

Apart from expressing his excitement at joining the firm's “stellar team”, he also called for those who “want to know more” about what Andaria Financial Services offers to contact him. “More than happy to have a chat on all things payments-related,” he added.

Mr Abela joins the company after more than four years at fintech firm Ixaris, during which he served as Group Head of Customer Success, Director of Client Experience, as well as General Manager.

Prior to that, he worked as Head of Customer Experience and Head of Commercial Operations at Entropay and IoTFabrix respectively, and spent almost two years as Head of Commercial Operations at telecommunications company Worldfone. He also served as Head of Marketing and Product Marketing and Development Manager at Forbesfone, and Senior Product Marketing Executive at Vodafone, among others.

With a focus on providing businesses with digital payment services that are easily accessible and simple to use, Andaria Financial Services seeks to “fill the gap where major financial institutions fall short” when it comes to servicing particular clients and market segments. Apart from its offices at Ta’ Xbiex, it also has operations in London.
