Beloved fashion designer Andrew Warhurst, better known as Drew Warhurst, has passed away, multiple reports on Monday morning revealed.

Mr Warhurst had worked in the fashion industry as a stylist for more than 15 years, having worked with a number of artists, TV presenters, local photographers, and international media outlets.

He most notably designed the outfits of various Maltese singers who represented the nation at the Eurovision Song Contest. This includes the dress of Emma Muscat, who took part in the 2022 edition of the competition in Turin, Italy.

His sister, Sharon Micallef Warhurst, took to social media to make the announcement, stating that she is “lost for words” and “cannot believe” the news.

“I cannot believe I will never hear your voice and see you again Andrew, always making others happy, full of life, so talented and so heart giving,” she said.

“I am sure you are in a better place reunited with our mother. Fly high bro, till we meet again,” she continued.

Social media was flooded with comments and posts remembering Mr Warhurst, while also offering condolences to his family and friends.
