Regulatory approval has been granted for the appointment of Charlotte Cilia as Chief Financial Officer of HSBC Bank Malta.

The announcement was initially made in July, with official approval being granted today.

A certified public accountant and auditor, Ms Cilia has 20 years of varied experience across audit and banking finance, re-joining the Bank in 2018 as Chief Accounting Officer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer.

Previously an auditor at KPMG in Malta and the UK, Ms Cilia performed key roles on various international engagements and served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at MeDirect Group for four years until 2018.

She will be replacing Emma Nuttall, whose resignation, and Ms Cilia’s appointment, are both effective from 17th December 2020.
