Praxis Malta has welcomed Gloria Borg as its new Head of Compliance, a new senior role for the company.

An experienced financial professional, Ms Borg will work with the Praxis Malta team across private wealth, corporate administration, pensions and employer solutions, and yacht ownership services.

The University of Manchester graduate joins Praxis Malta after close to four years at FJVA, which she joined as a Senior Compliance Executive in 2020 and worked her way up to Head of Compliance by early 2022.

Prior to that, she worked with MGI Malta and HSBC Malta.

Ann Shanahan, Praxis Group Head of Compliance, said: “The compliance team and our clients will benefit from the expertise and experience that Gloria brings to this new Head of Compliance role.

“Throughout her financial services career, Gloria has developed an impressive level of skill in business planning, operations and customer relationship management, and negotiation, all of which make her an asset to the regulatory compliance team.”

Ms Borg holds the International Compliance Association diploma in Anti Money Laundering, specialist-level certification from the Association of Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialists, and is a Certified Risk Management Professional.
