On Saturday, PG plc announced that as a result of restrictions being lifted on specified non-essential retail shops, all outlets operated by third-party tenants at Pama Shopping Village and Pavi Shopping complex have reopened for business.

The Group said all shops at both shopping villages have been reopened since Monday 4th May, the date several non-essential retail outlets were legally allowed to open following a 1st May announcement by Prime Minister Robert Abela.

PG specified that the Group’s Zara and Zara Home outlets have also been reopened.

The Group remarked that it remains committed to ensuring the highest standards of care towards care towards its employees and customers as all outlets are operating strictly in line with the directives issued by the public authorities.

As from last Monday, clothing stores, sporting-goods outlets, beauty product shops, shoe and accessories shops, among others, were allowed to open on the condition that all staff and customers wear face masks.

Shops have also been instructed to allowed no more than one person per 10 square metre, with a sign displaying the total number of people allowed in the shop at the entrance.

In addition, hand sanitiser must be supplied at the entrance.

Various members of the business community have stressed the importance of face masks and hand sanitiser usage at shops in order to instil consumer confidence and spur economic activity.
