Award-winning fine dining restaurant and events venue Palazzo Parisio has announced the passing of its owner, Baroness Christiane Ramsay Scicluna.

Taking to social media, the company revealed her departure “with the heaviest of hearts,” describing her as its “guide, [its] inspiration and the heart and soul of the Palazzo.”

Mourners across the Maltese islands gave their condolences in response, showing the impression the popular figure left on those she came into contact with.

Professionally, Baroness Scicluna saw great success, starting her career in the airline industry before meeting and marrying her husband in Italy.

In 2007, she set up her own company focusing on the renovation, restoration and redevelopment of Palazzo Parisio, creating an award winning fine dining restaurant, luxury events location and historic tourist attraction.

She also served on the board of directors at Farsons and is the Owner/Director of Tabria Property & Hospitality Management.

Baroness Scicluna is great granddaughter to the original Marquis, Guiseppe.
