Stephanie Xuereb has been appointed as the new chief executive officer of Mount Carmel Hospital, succeeding Stephen Sultana.

Dr Xuereb is a doctor who specialises in public health, and has worked in various health sectors such as health care standards, policy development and implementation, infectious disease control and hospital management.

Mr Sultana, having occupied the post of Mount Carmel Hospital CEO since January 2018, has been appointed as the new CEO of Sir Paul Boffa Hospital.
