Dizz Group of Companies Ltd has announced the opening of a new Calliope store in Centerparc Qormi, the third shop dedicated to the Italian fashion brand in Malta, its financial arm Dizz Finance plc announced on Friday.
This continues to build on Dizz Group’s refurbishment and expansion efforts undertaken throughout the pandemic, despite the global challenges the business community faced. The Group refurbished and doubled the floor area of its first Calliope store at Bay Street, Saint Julian’s, with it now covering 500 square metres, including full men’s, women’s, and kid’s collections being on display.
Dizz Group has “ambitious plans” for the brand, with a 400-square metre store already opened at DMall at Tigné Point in Sliema, and the new Centerparc store covering 450 square metres.
Additionally, the Group is strategically combining the stores of fellow fashion brand Terranova to also house Calliope products, in order to “expand its product offering to customers".
Launched in 2005, Calliope is one of the fastest growing fashion brands in the world, with a presence in 19 countries through its 88 stores. Dizz Group added that it is “proud” to be associated with such a “highly successful brand”.
With the aim of building a collection of top quality brands and service offerings, Dizz Group imports and retails a number of fashion brands through its franchise agreements, warehouse stores, and retail outlets. Apart from the aforementioned Terranova and Calliope, the Group is also the franchisee of Guess?, Max&Co, Liu Jo Men and Women, among others. Additionally, it has also branched out to the catering industry through the popular coffee shop brand Pascucci, with six stores under its control.
