Melissa Caruana on Wednesday shared that she has been appointed Business Development Manager at Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre (MFCC).

She brings a wide array of marketing and communications experience to the company, and her new position comes after more than two years as Communications and Logistics at the Ministry of Tourism and Consumer Protection.

Prior to that, Ms Caruana worked as Marketing and Events Manager at PowerHouse Ltd for over three years, as well as Marketing Executive at JP Advertising Ltd for almost two years. She also has experiences at Hotel Phoenicia Malta, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and Air Malta, where she worked in various roles.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Communications from University of Malta, and describes herself as “highly ambitious” and effective at delivering “high-quality content for digital, traditional and social marketing”. She also states that she is a “high achiever” who produces results “individually, as well as part of a results-focused team”.

MFCC is Malta’s largest international conference and exhibition venue, covering over 22,000 square metres of available space. It has both indoor and outdoor areas, and is described as the “main service provider to the event industry”. In 2016, MFCC became part of hospitality industry group Corinthia Group.
