In a post to social media, chef and bakery owner Sean Gravina is urging the public to support local businesses following the hit many have suffered due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is our first short lholiday after covid hit,” the chef writes in his post, captioning a photo of himself at the Radisson Golden Sands with wife Ira Losco.
Commenting on the hotel’s adherence to health authorities’ guidelines in relation to COVID-19, he comments “what struck me was the meticulous attention to the sanitation guidelines,” going on to urge locals to support hotels in Malta.
“Let’s visit hotels in Malta and enjoy local sights, local food and most of all support our local brothers and sisters,” he writes, affirming that visiting such places translates into support for the establishment itself, as well as supporting the families and children of anyone who works there. “Let’s start by holidaying in Malta because Malta needs us more than ever right now.”
