The Malta Entertainment Industry and Arts Association (MEIA) has paid its respects to “one of Malta’s finest actors, Margaret Agius, who sadly passed away today”.

Ms Agius had taken part in several drama production and also presented various programmes.

Among the productions Ms Agius is known for are Sorelle, Emilja, Żafira and Ċirkostanzi

She also wrote two books: ‘In Your Embrace’, and Il-Mitħna.

In a social media message paying respect to Ms Agius, the MEIA wrote:

“Margaret was a fine example of what an actor should be and how an actor should behave. She took on any role which was presented to her, and delivered to the delight of the audiences who were lucky to witness her professionalism.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Margaret Agius, at such a difficult time.”
