As part of the entity’s efforts to celebrate its core corporate values, Malta Enterprise held internal awards in order to congratulate its employees for being true ambassadors for these values in their daily endeavours.

A total of five awards were handed out, all promoting the entity’s stated core values of integrity, creativity and customer centricity. Two separate awards were also awarded for Best Internal Initiative as well as Best Cross-Functional Team. These awards where voted on both internally by the employees as well as by external judges and by the public in general for the Client Centricity award.

Customer Champion - Luke Stivala 

Malta Life Sciences Park CEO, Pierre Theuma, was acknowledged in the section of Integrity. When considering the candidates for Integrity the judges considered truthfulness, honesty and accountability.

Pierre Theuma was also awarded under the Customer-Centricity category alongside Relationship Manager for Micro Enterprises at Business 1st Luke Stivala. This award revolves around adopting a client centric mind-set whilst being committed to our Client’s success, effective communication and quality service in line with industry benchmarks.

Best Internal Initiative

Chief Officer Incentives Design and Project Evaluation, Karl Herrera, was awarded with the award for creativity. This revolved around the development of an open and creative mind-set that leads to innovate working practices as well as finding ways to improve our incentives, systems, processes and communication with stakeholders.

Recognition for The Best Cross Functional Team was awarded to the CSR team and various other units which worked on the, ‘One Love...Celebrating Peace’ event last July. This was a concert featuring Jamala, a Ukrainian international singer and Eurovision winner. This was complemented with a photographic exhibition by renowned photographers Darrin Zammit Lupi and Heidi Levine. The funds collected went to assist the local Ukrainian community and a school built in Ethiopia in honour of Darrin’s daughter, Becs.

Malta Enterprise stressed that it is committed to create awareness of social challenges on real issues impacting our society and through our CSR outreach we are facilitating a rich exchange through our entrepreneurial spirit.
