Nick Mizzi, Malta’s co-founder of the highly popular District party and a founder of artist management company 707 MGMT, on Wednesday announced that he is “honoured” to be joining Defected Records, a major UK-based dance music label and brand.
Nick, when reached out to by WhosWho.mt, shared that he will be joining the world-famous label’s Event Strategy, Promotion and Management team, which sees him take on a wide range of responsibilities under his wing.
From assisting with event operations, managing tickets, tour management of events and artists and marketing-related activities, to artist relationship management, approaching talent, venue research and presentation skills, the job is sure to see him strengthen his knowledge and expertise on the work carried out behind the scenes in this fast-paced industry.
Reacting to the appointment, Nick said he is “excited to start [his] next chapter in the music industry working for one of the largest house music brands in the world!
“Still can’t believe this is happening. The journey continues.”
Defected Records was set up by Simon Dunmore in the UK in 1999 and the label has worked with the likes of Masters At Work, Bob Sinclar, Dennis Ferrer, Roger Sanches, Kevin Saunderson and Todd Terry.
