The majority shareholder of LifeStar Holding plc is looking for a strategic partner to acquire a shareholding in the company, with the intended aim of supporting its international growth and development.
The company made the announcement on the Malta Stock Exchange, after it was informed by the majority shareholder, Investar plc, of its intentions. Investar plc is owned by Paolo Catalfamo, Lifestar Holding's Chairman.
LifeStar Holding plc is a financial services company registered in Malta deriving its core business from the provision of life and health insurance products. LifeStar has a number of subsidiaries, including LifeStar Insurance plc, a leading provider of insurance products in Malta, and LifeStar Asset Management Limited is authorized by the Malta Financial Services Authority to conduct investment business.
In its interim financial statement report this year, the group said that for the remainder of the year, its priorities “are focused on continuing to grow the business across its existing markets of Malta, Italy and San Marino, while exploring opportunities for expansion into new markets within the EU.”
