Marketing and management specialist Kurt Rizzo has been named Senior Business Analyst at the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), he shared on Friday.
His new role at the financial regulator comes after he previously served as Business Analyst there for more than two years.
Prior to that, Mr Rizzo served as Senior Business Analyst at start-up advisory and consulting firm BEAT Limited for almost four years, during which time he was responsible for company marketing, business analysis, and business strategies. Additionally, he also had three-month stints at Malta Enterprise and Jobsplus as Finance Administrative Assistant and Project Assistant respectively, as well as Human Resources Assistant at the Ministry for the Economy Investment and Small Business.
Mr Rizzo holds a Master of Science in Management and Marketing, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Management, all from University of Malta. During his studies, he volunteered as Sales and Marketing Manager of University of Malta Students’ Futsal Team, where he was then promoted to Chief Operations Officer, and then to President, a position he still holds after more than three years.
The MFSA is the single regulator of financial services in Malta, being tasked with regulating a number of institutions and companies, including those in banking, financial institutions, insurance companies, and investment services companies.
