KM Malta Airlines has been ranked fourth in the Best Regional Airlines in Europe category at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2025, marking its first appearance on the international ranking since commencing operations in March 2024.

The Skytrax Awards, established in 1999, are based on what the organisation describes as the world’s largest annual airline passenger satisfaction survey, collecting responses from travellers of more than 100 nationalities. The awards span several categories, including World’s Best Airline, Best Cabin Crew, Most Improved Airline, and Best Low-Cost Airline, among others.

In the Best Regional Airlines in Europe category, Aegean Airlines placed first, followed by Air Dolomiti and Air Serbia, with KM Malta Airlines coming in fourth.

In a statement shared on LinkedIn, David G Curmi, Executive Chairman of KM Malta Airlines, described the result as a “tremendous honour” for the airline and attributed the achievement to the company’s employees and customer support.

While expressing his gratitude to the company’s customers, Mr Curmi concluded: “And to the KM Malta Airlines team – this is your achievement. Your commitment to delivering a high-quality experience, every day, is what makes us who we are.”

In February, KM Malta Airlines earned two prestigious titles in the ch-aviation Youngest Aircraft Fleet Awards 2025: Youngest Aircraft Fleet in Europe and 2nd Youngest Aircraft Fleet in the World.
