JD Capital plc has announced the resignation of former Non-Executive Director Gaetano Vella, who will be replaced by Dr Jesmond Manicaro. The company has also appointed Mr Jonathan Pace as Executive Director. Both appointments came into effect on 7th September.
The company acts as a holding company for JD Operations Ltd, formerly JSDimech Ltd, which is one of the market leaders in Malta for aluminium and steel apertures, wrought iron, large-scale glass formats, curtain wailing, and façade cladding, amongst other things.
Dr Manicaro is a lawyer by profession. He graduated from the University of Malta, the International Maritime Law Institute and University College London. In almost two decades of varied legal experience, Dr Manicaro has acquired a broad legal background in property, corporate and commercial law in a global market. He serves as a director on a number of Maltese companies involved in various cross-border and overseas activities.
Mr Pace is a seasoned businessman with over 30 years’ experience. He is involved in a myriad of businesses including retail, manufacturing, and leisure. Amongst his many achievements, Mr Pace established Logografix and Finestral - both considered local household names. Mr Pace is also involved in the property industry where he has managed and directed developments of residential, commercial, and industrial real estate of varying sizes.
