Italian fast fashion brand Fiorella Rubino is coming to Malta with a new store scheduled to open in Sliema.
Fiorella Rubino has more than 200 stores across Italy, and has become renowned for catering to plus-sized women, particularly UK sizes 12 to 26.
Dorkins Ltd, the company that will be bringing the brand to Malta, made the announcement on Tuesday.
Established in 1997 by Christine and Robert Pace, Dorkins currently has a total of nine stores located across Sliema and Valletta. It houses brands such as Clarks, Salsa, Sisley, and Superdry, among others.
Speaking to WhosWho.mt, Dorkins Operations Manager Michael Pace confirmed that the brand’s first store will be located at 44, Tower Road, Sliema, and is scheduled to open on 20th September 2024.
“This store is presently Salsa, however, Salsa will be moving into our Sisley store as a shop inside a shop in Bisazza Street (Sliema),” he said.
“Hopefully in the future we will also open a store in Valletta,” Mr Pace continued.
In the announcement, Fiorella Rubino is described by Dorkins as “the curvy brand dedicated to women who want to dress their curves to the fullest with plus sizes.”
“There is a niche in the market for fashionable clothing in the curvy plus size area,” Mr Pace noted.
He remarked that Dorkins has gained “quite a bit of knowledge in this area,” having previously traded Evans, a UK-based plus-sized clothing retailer.
