Ruth Azzopardi, who most recently served as Leisure Sales Manager at Hilton Malta, worked her last day there on Monday.

Ms Azzopardi, who worked at the company for 11 years, announced her departure on LinkedIn and celebrated her experiences there.

She thanked her colleagues and former colleagues for everything they learnt together and said that some of them would remain friends for life.

She identifies her “boss, colleague and friend Julian Diacono” for particular thanks, saying he taught her his role, trusted her in hers, and shows her how to be an influential leader.

“It was truly a remarkable and unforgettable journey and I thank you all who made it worthwhile. I am now looking forward to a new chapter in my life, to this new opportunity I have been entrusted with, to more exciting times!”, Ms Azzopardi concluded.

Ms Azzopardi joined the Hilton Malta in March 2010 as a Revenue Manager, and over her next 8 years in the position “helped grow the online business by 46 per cent in ADR and 313 per cent in room Revenue”.

Before joining the Hilton, she gained impressive experience in the hospitality industry, working as Revenue and E-commerce Manager at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, and Revenue and yield manager at Kempinski Hotel Giardino di Costanza.
