Consultancy firm, IGA Group (iGaming Advisors), is looking at widening their remit over the next two quarters, says its co-founder and director, Mario Fiorini, with a new base being opened in Cyprus and new ventures into the real estate market.
“This year, we are opening a new office in Cyprus, and we have serious plans there. We are also opening IGA Real Estate and, therefore, continuing to move beyond our original base of expertise, which was iGaming,” he explains.
The company was set up in 2016 by Mr Fiorini – who boasts years of experience in the iGaming sector, having been Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Gold Victory and at Sportalnet, both of which operate in the casino business – in order to provide corporate services to companies in the remote gaming industry.
“We are, from what I am aware, the only corporate service provider that has specialised only in iGaming, and we offer 360-degree assistance, specialising in consultancy on gaming regulation as well as software development and other key business functions,” he explains.
The organisation’s efforts have not gone unnoticed. Indeed, last November, the firm won an award at SiGMA – the renowned trade event for the iGaming, betting & esports industries - for Best Gaming Consultancy of the Year. IGA Group was also shortlisted for the SiGMA Dubai Award held this year.
Despite these accolades, however, Mr Fiorini is self-effacing, and credits the entire team at IGA for the success the company is enjoying. “Receiving the award was testament to the team’s efforts and their hard work,” he says. “My role inside the company is to be a mentor to all the staff, who are made up of people from all walks of life who really put all their energy and passion into their work.”
As part of the organisation’s drive towards growth, the company is enhancing its human resources, he continues to explain. “I’m proud to see the IGA family growing. More staff are joining the company and their expertise is getting better each day. I see they feel proud to work for the firm,” he asserts.
This despite the myriad challenges facing the company with an increasing number of regulations impacting corporate service providers, as well as the difficulty in finding the right people for the job. Nonetheless, Mr Fiorini is constructive in his approach, understanding that finding solutions comes with the territory.
“We’ve risen up to the demands of the sector over the past few years, and have adapted, relocating offices, and overcoming the impact of COVID-19, during which we worked both remotely and at the office. We managed to pull it off and it was a pleasure to see how all the team managed to keep things moving without any hiccups.”
For, he insists, “providing solutions to any form of challenge” is what he thrives on – and this will continue to be the company’s attitude in the months to come.
