Former FinanceMalta Chief Operations Officer Ivan Grech has joined the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners as CEO, he shared on Tuesday.
“I now look forward to working closely with practitioners on developing even further Malta’s financial services sector,” he said.
Mr Grech’s new position comes after nearly eight years at FinanceMalta, during which time he was tasked with the “promotion of the jurisdiction as an international financial services centre”. He was initially Head of Business Development, a role he was entrusted with for almost four years, before he went on to serve as Chief Operations Officer for the remaining four years.
IFSP has obtained recognition as the body representing financial services practitioners in Malta, with these ranging from bankers and insurers to stockbrokers, lawyers, accountants and trustees. It provides a forum for the “continuous exchange of ideas and even increased cooperation” between various professions.
Prior to these two experiences, he worked in a number of marketing and brand management positions at various companies, including Auto Sales Ltd, Gasan Enterprises Ltd, Capua Palace Hospital, and Farsons Group.
He holds a Diploma in Marketing from London City College, and is particularly skilled in marketing strategy, business strategy and public relations.
